After 35 years of nursing, I feel incredibly grateful to still have the opportunity to do what I love most — care for people. My nursing career has taken me through many areas of acute-care hospitals and a variety of specialty departments. Along the way, I have cared for people during some of their most challenging and vulnerable moments. These experiences have taught me the importance of truly listening, treating every person as an individual, and making patients feel safe, respected, and cared for.

I am very excited to begin this new chapter of my career with Georgian Bay Integrative Medicine. Moving from the hospital environment into a more personal clinic setting is an exciting change for me, and I look forward to having the time to connect with patients on a more personal level.

As part of my role, I will be providing nursing services, including IV nutrient infusion therapy. My goal is to make every visit a comfortable, welcoming, and positive experience, while providing care that is safe, thoughtful, and tailored to each individual. I believe that sometimes the simplest things — a listening ear, a kind conversation, and knowing that someone genuinely cares — can make a meaningful difference in a person’s healthcare experience.

I am excited to meet you, get to know you, and be part of your wellness journey. It is a privilege to continue caring for others after 35 wonderful years in nursing, and I am truly looking forward to what this next chapter brings.

I’m Dr. Erica, a Naturopathic Doctor with a clinical focus on weight management, hormonal and gut health, inflammation, and stress resilience. I also hold a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certification, which deepened my understanding of behavior, nutrition, and lifestyle change. My approach helps patients uncover and address the underlying factors that influence body composition, energy, metabolism, and overall well-being. I focus on hormone balance, digestion, chronic inflammation, and lifestyle patterns that often make sustainable weight loss challenging.

My journey into naturopathic medicine grew from a lifelong passion for athletics and performance. As a Varsity Women’s Soccer player at the University of Toronto, I learned the value of discipline, resilience, and consistency — qualities that continue to shape my clinical philosophy.

Throughout my athletic career, I was grateful to earn the University of Toronto’s Woman of Influence Award, multiple All-Star and MVP honours, and represent Team Canada at the 2009 FISU World Games in Serbia. I later played professionally in Italy, England, and Iceland before pursuing my studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.

My experiences as both an athlete and a patient reinforced how digestion, hormones, inflammation, recovery, and stress all affect health and performance. In practice, I take a personalized, evidence-informed approach to help patients improve metabolic health, support healthy weight loss, reduce inflammation, and feel more confident in their bodies.

At Georgian Bay Integrative Medicine in Collingwood, I’m grateful to be part of a clinic that values whole-person care — helping patients feel stronger, healthier, and more in control of their long-term well-being.
